Taking another break from The Book of Three. Bad, bad me. Sorry. The muse dictates and I must follow.

But look at my boy, too tall for the doorframe. We’re not in Kansas anymore, y’all.

That is lovely work, I should have recognized the style, super opening, character art is top notch.

Taran is now old enough to copy Gwydion's hair and stubble style. :-)

I am thrilled you began officially posting this! Your muse may be a bit wayward, but I can’t say I mind when this is the result. 😉

I know I commented a little already on the sneak-peek you sent me, but I forgot to mention: I am in awe of your deft handling of light! It adds so much depth to these frames. The sunset color palette alone is beautiful, but the way you have it falling across Eilonwy and Taran is just masterfully done.

What she said...in addition to the total beauty of the art from start to finish, the light and shadow work is so striking.

And here I was sitting here thinking I should have pushed it even farther! Well, we’ve got interior scenes lit only with bauble light coming up...that’ll be fun. 😁

On the timeline, this is 5-6 years after The Book of Three. So they’re around 19-20 here.

What's this? ANOTHER side project? Another BEAUTIFUL side project? Saeriellyn, you're astounding. :)

(And also quite, quite mean. If you're spending time on this I'm going to have to wait even longer to find out how "Daughter of the Sea" ends! :p Did you see the comment I left you yesterday on your most recent "The Book of Three" page?)

You must be finished with your most recent commercial project if you had the time to create this masterpiece! How did it go?

Uuuuuggghhh, I know. It's horrible. I AM actively writing DotS again, and making headway; I just don't want to start posting until I have the rest of it written, to avoid any more long delays.

My latest kiddie book is in the bag, but there's already another one in the pipeline from the same author, so I just never stop. I created this strip by doing one panel a day as a reward after meeting my work goals each day. :P Gotta find some way to balance!

Congratulations on finding some steady (?) paid work in your creative field, and on finding a way to balance that with your own projects! :)
